The garden is technically always open, but it only speaks between 00:00 and 04:00. Earlier visits are just gardening.

Phones, bells, vibrating watches. Anything that can answer on your behalf will, and then it knows your voice.

Speak only to the flowers
Address a bloom directly, in a low voice, and leave before expecting a reply. Replies arrive within 3 to 400 nights.

If every bloom turns toward you at once, the session is over. Walk back to the gate you cannot see. Do not run.
